Free Medication - Rx Partnership Insights on Making IPAPs Work for Your Clinic

Webinar Date:
December 9, 2010

Speaker:
Amy Yarcich, Executive Director
Rx Partnership

In Virginia, Free Clinics of varying sizes and resources operate licensed pharmacies and improve patient health outcomes through immediate access to free and low-cost medications.  Access to free bulk medications from Institutional Patient Assistance Programs (IPAPs) coordinated through Rx Partnership (RxP) have resulted in over $48 million in free medication for Virginians - individual clinics have seen a reduction in overall pharmacy expenditures that means more funds available for other key clinic services.  This session will provide background on how Rx Partnership works and detail the expectations for IPAP participation in order to prepare clinics from around the country to develop individual or collaborative approaches to medication access challenges.  Clinics can learn to save time and money by understanding the systems needed for successful IPAP and pharmacy operation.
